3 digital Advent calendars using our regular format
1. Perles & Co: a calendar for creative spirits
Let’s kick off this special edition with our first digital Advent calendar from Perles & Co, an online retailer for jewellery-making and creative hobby supplies.
In December, the retailer engaged their audience by launching their Advent calendar for the third consecutive year. From December 1st to the 24th, participants could enter daily prize draws to win a range of exciting items from their catalogue.
This initiative not only helped Perles & Co. collect meaningful data but also allowed participants to experience their products — potentially boosting future sales and strengthening customer loyalty.
2. Orange Belgium: a popcorn calendar to engage and boost in-store traffic
In today’s fast-paced digital age, where online experiences increasingly dominate the physical world, it can be challenging for companies to capture attention and drive in-store traffic.
That’s why Orange Belgium chose to launch their Advent calendar. Inspired by their famous “Cinedays”, the telecommunications company built an original popcorn-themed adventure for their audience.
Each day, participants could play an interactive game like a catcher, a “smash it!” or a “swap & match” for a chance to win exciting prizes. And there’s more! After completing each campaign, players received a unique code to participate in another campaign at any Orange store in Belgium, offering even more opportunities to get a reward and boosting valuable in-store traffic.
3. Clermont Foot 63: a sports calendar to keep fans engaged
With nearly one match every week, December was a busy month for Clermont Foot 63. However, the festive season often means competing for fans’ attention as it shifts to holiday activities. That is why the club decided to reintroduce their successful football-themed Advent calendar.
The 24-day calendar offered fans exciting daily campaigns, with prizes ranging from partner-sponsored gifts to exclusive Clermont Foot 63 goodies and VIP experiences. The calendar featured over 13 different formats including regular formats, such as the memory game, advanced formats, such as the penalty game, and instant win formats, like the jackpot.
This creative method allowed them to keep their fans engaged throughout the month while collecting newsletter opt-ins.
3 digital Advent calendars using our reward program
Now that you have explored three amazing digital Advent calendars using our regular calendar format, we have something special to show you. Did you know you can enhance your calendar’s impact by integrating it into a reward program? This holiday season, some of our users took this step and created Plus calendars, providing an immersive experience to their audience.
How did it work? After registering to be a part of the reward program, members gained access to their personalised portal, where they could explore the calendar and find additional information, including:
- Points balance: to monitor their progress
- Leaderboard: to keep up with their and other’s ranking
- Rewards catalogue: where they could redeem their points for exciting rewards
Are you wondering what a reward program is? It’s a strategy to foster ongoing interactions between your audience and brand while boosting loyalty. Do you want to learn more? Don’t miss our detailed article on the topic!
Let’s check these out!
1. Foodlovers: a digital Advent calendar for food and coffee lovers
This year, Foodlovers, Nestlé CH’s platform for nutrition, sustainability, and culinary inspiration, launched a Plus calendar to celebrate the holidays and reward their audience.
For 12 days, members earned points by engaging with calendar campaigns and actions like daily logins or following Foodlovers on social media. And there’s more! In addition to redeeming rewards through their portal, they had a chance to win iconic Nestlé products with each game.
This was an effective way for the platform to engage its audience, foster stronger relationships with Nestlé consumers, and expand the Foodlovers community.
2. Michelin Spain: a calendar to shift into holiday mood
If you’re a car enthusiast or simply take pride in maintaining your ride, this next calendar is for you. Engaging and retaining an audience is a challenge for any brand, especially during the holidays, as the festivities bring many opportunities to connect with your audience but also fierce competition from brands with similar strategies.
That’s why Michelin Spain launched their own digital Plus calendar this year! Their goal? To engage their audience and grow their database. How? By encouraging members to log in daily to the reward program and participate in the calendar’s daily campaigns, offering them irresistible rewards both in the campaigns and the reward catalogue of their member portal.
3. RTBF: a calendar for a daily dose of Christmas cheer
Last year, RTBF launched “Experience”, a reward program designed to retain their audience and boost engagement with their content. They also personalised the experience with subsequent interest-based programs called “challenges,” offering curated content and campaigns based on those interests.
For the holiday season, RTBF took their original program to the next level by turning it into the ultimate Christmas game. Members could earn points by engaging with RTBF content or participating in the daily Christmas-themed quizzes and games (such as puzzles or catchers) of the digital Advent calendar.
Not only could members win prizes from RTBF’s partners by participating in each campaign, but the one with the most points also had the chance to win four tickets to a zoological park.
