June has officially set the tone for summer! With longer days, warmer weather and school holidays on the horizon, brands had countless opportunities to connect with their audiences through fresh, interactive marketing campaigns.

And as always, our users rose to the occasion! From fun quizzes to a creative wheel of fortune or landing pages, creativity was flowing, with campaigns that mixed the seasonal energy with smart first-party and zero-party data collection.

Are you ready for your monthly dose of inspiration? Let’s dive in!

1. Lipton’s summer contest

Who says summer contests can’t be both fun and strategic? ☀️To celebrate the warm season, Lipton launched a special campaign that mixed flavours and marketing goals.

How did it work? After checking the contest rules on a landing page, participants had to upload a proof of purchase (a supermarket receipt showing a Lipton product) and complete a short form with information such as their emails, postal addresses and dates of birth. Once completed, they had access to a swap & match game in which they had to match as many identical objects as possible to earn points.

Lucky winners had the chance to receive amazing prizes, including festival tickets, waterproof cameras, headphones, and much more!

This was a great way to boost their sales and collect first-party data while keeping their audience refreshed and engaged during the first summer month.

2. Chip’s by Barcel’s crispy “slice it!”

This summer, Chip’s by Barcel decided to launch an engaging “slice it!” game to connect with their audience. The goal? Slice through as many chip bags as possible within the time limit to get the highest score.

The top 15 players won tickets to the Miller Lite Grill Together festival, a celebration of great music and food. To participate, users had to fill out a form with their email address, phone number, and other key details.

The campaign also encouraged social sharing, helping Barcel expand its reach while collecting valuable data and promoting its product in a fun, interactive format.

3. France Radio’s festivals map landing page

To celebrate the festival season, France Radio launched an interactive landing page designed to highlight music festivals across the country and boost their audience engagement beyond the airwaves.

The page displayed a map of France where users could click on different regions to discover upcoming music festivals. Each click revealed a slider with festival information, including dates and locations. The slider also included direct links to the radio’s website, where participants could access more details about each festival and an embedded contest to win tickets.

This was a clever initiative not only to boost engagement but also to generate traffic to their website.

4. Campari’s interactive wheel of fortune

How do you make a brand stand out in a huge crowd? Campari set the example by launching an on-site wheel of fortune at a German music festival.

Festival-goers had to spin the wheel for a chance to win summer Aperol goodies (such as bucket hats, hand fans and more) redeemable directly at the brand’s stand. A fun, hands-on experience and the perfect way to cool off in the sun!

Not only did this campaign boost the brand’s audience engagement, but it also helped them collect data from festival goers.

5. Nespresso iced coffee personality test

Who doesn’t love cooling down with a refreshing iced coffee in the summertime? But with so many flavours to choose from, it can be hard to pick just one. That’s why Nespresso launched a personality test to help coffee lovers discover their perfect match.

Participants had to answer a series of questions to get a tailored flavour recommendation. The campaign also included an exclusive discount code with a link to Nespresso’s e-commerce on the exit screen, making it easy for participants to order their match right away.

This was a great way for the brand to collect data while also boosting their sales and promoting their iced coffee product range.
