For a month, Euro 2016 was everywhere. Cheesy analysis, gossips, supporter pictures & videos,… our timelines and newsfeeds were 95% made of Football news.
For most of European citizen, the Euro cup was a time to chill and enjoy. It obviously wasn’t the case for Qualifio’s users, as we found more than 250 campaigns made for the Euro, generating hundred of thousand of clicks and online conversations.
Amongst all these campaigns, a few have grabbed our attention :
The “My 23 euro squad“ by Eurosport
The arrival of Swelly brought new formats to Qualifio. Amongst these new campaigns, we can find the “list of the 23”, a format that allows the participants to take the seat of the coach. They had the chance to create their favorite selection for their national team and share it on social networks. Eurosport launched this concept simultaneously in France, Germany,The United Kingdom, Spain and Italy. All countries combined, Eurosport got more than a million participations.
The personality test by AD.NL
This year, the Euro was without the Oranje, the Dutch national football team. Sad news, yet AD.nl, a major newspaper in The Netherlands, decided to launch a funny “who should you support” personality test. Based on food, personality, colors, words, their dutch online visitors were able to discover which team they need to support during the tournament. Note a very smart use of the customised Facebook Share to boost participations and engagement.
The prediction of Scooore
What would be a sport competition without predictions? But in this case, Scooore (one of the brand of the Belgian National Lottery) makes it even harder. You have to combine and succeed in 8 predictions to win this amazing prize.
“My 11“ par TF1
Eurosport wanted you to create the best selection before the Euro for your country. TF1 wants you to create the best team after the competition and amongst all teams. We’re not talking about 23 players from one nation but about the 11 very best players of the European Cup amongst all teams. A selection that you can, of course, share on social networks.
