You may have started to notice some changes around the design of our app. We’re in the process of changing the look of the Qualifio platform! This includes a new login page, which you can check here.

So, what else is new? We enabled Single Sign-On (SSO) for our back-office! Let’s check it out.

Users can now enjoy Google and Azure SSO

What is Single Sign-On (SSO)?

SSO works behind the scenes to enable users to sign into multiple applications using just one set of login credentials. The authentication process is managed by the same central identity provider for all of your organisation’s service providers, like Qualifio.

Benefits of SSO

SSO has a lot of benefits:

  1. Better experience for users. In the best-case scenario, users only have one set of credentials to remember. They stop wasting time trying to remember passwords logging into each app. Not only does it give users a better experience, but it can also increase their productivity.
  2. Password and IT security. Data breaches are frequently tied to passwords. Most of us have at least one password considered too weak (is it your name? your favourite football team? “123456”? “iloveyou”?) or that password we repeat across six or seven different applications. Such security risks can be reduced if your organisation uses a central identity provider together with a policy that prevents users from setting passwords that can easily be guessed.
  3. Centralised access management. The average large organisation gives employees access to 15 different applications. Single Sign-On can make your company more secure by helping securely manage access to these applications. If you’re choosing to go with SSO, an employee’s access to Qualifio can automatically be turned off at the same time they are removed from your system.

Which SSO solutions are supported?

Currently, you can use the Qualifio platform with two identity providers (or IDPs): Azure Active Directory and Google.

We can also connect with other IDPs. How? There are two common login technologies (oAuth and SAML) used for authenticating logins. Our SSO works with any identity provider that supports one of these two.

Adding SSO to your Qualifio account

To set up SSO, you’ll need the initial support of our IT department. Contact your Customer Success Manager and tell them about your identity provider. We can’t wait to make Qualifio even better for your organisation!

Pricing note: This advanced feature is available on Gold plans and higher.

You can find the full details in our support article on SSO.

As usual, we’d love to hear your feedback so please feel free to get in touch with us.
